Job Description: System Administrator – Linux & Storage
Years of Experience: 8 years Skillset Required:
- Install, configure, and manage Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar).
- Perform system hardening as per organizational standards.
- Perform system updates, patches, vulnerability management and performance tuning.
- Develop automation scripts using Bash, Python, or Ansible for repetitive tasks.
- Troubleshoot system issues, resolve incidents, and provide technical support.
- Manage and monitor Linux virtual machines and other workloads on Microsoft Azure.
- Implement and maintain Azure services, including VM scale sets, storage accounts, and virtual networks.
- Implement/Manage Kubernetes environment running on AKS
- Manage VMware ESXi vSphere environments.
- Perform VM provisioning, cloning, snapshots, and migrations.
- Monitor virtual machine performance and troubleshoot hypervisor issues.
- Administer and manage x86 server hardware.
- Configure and maintain SAN/Object storage systems.
- Configure and Maintain Enterprise Data Protection environment hosted on On-Prem and Cloud Environment (Rubrik/CommVault)
- Perform storage provisioning, snapshots, and replication management.
- Administer and monitor MFT solution implemented in the environment. Configure Transfer jobs, monitor daily file transfer schedules and reports.
- Maintain accurate system documentation including configurations, procedures, and diagrams.
- Generate reports on system health, performance, and resource utilization
Experience with ITIL processes and best practices.
